Job Summary
Lambert is currently seeking an experienced Controller. This role will report directly to the CFO and will interact with executive leadership. The Controller will manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers and reporting systems, and support the CFO in establishing financial and operating benchmarks, oversee and create all accounting processed and procedures, and supervise the Senior Accountant. 

Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Monthly Reporting and Forecast, Tax Projections, Cash Projections, Annual Budget Preparation, Accounting and Revenue Recognition.

  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
  • Prepares timely monthly financial statements
  • Prepare year-to-date cash flow
  • Supervise month-end and year-end close process
  • Create procedures to make the close and reporting processes more efficient and accurate.
  • Maintains necessary information in NetSuite and OpenAir programs.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual billings to clients for services provided
  • Specific supervision of A/P and A/R, including accurate and timely production of all financial information and proper analytical review of operations from a balance sheet, income statement and cash flow perspective as well as an overall business perspective.
  • Assistance in review of due diligence material of potential acquisitions.
  • Review and recording of journal entries required to reflect the monthly activity
  • Review of expenses incurred on behalf of multiple entities such as software costs, accounting services, analytical services, etc.
  • Coordinate annual tax preparation with outside CPA firm
  • Assist with any financial/accounting audits.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
  • 5+ years experience in the accounting and finance sector.
  • 4+ years experience managing accountants and the accounting and finance process.
  • 3+ years in a position equivalent to a controller or higher responsibilities
  • 3+ years of experience working as a controller for a business services company, ideally in marketing/advertising.
  • Exceptional computer skills in the operation and functioning of all programs used by the organization, including SAP, Quickbooks, NetSuite, OpenAir, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Teams
